Aasha Ramdeen was born in Trinidad and currently resides in Los Angeles, California. Introduced to fashion at sixteen, it was this experience that would later influence her sketches, painting and design aesthetic.
She received her BA in Graphic Design and MFA in Fine Art from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2002. Since then she has worked in various arenas from advertising to the stationery industry, before returning to fashion as a professional Print / Textile Designer for bebe. She now illustrates full time.
Aasha is a member of the prestigious Costume Designers Guild as a Costume Illustrator and has been the recipient of such honors as "Best of Show" in Applied Arts magazine. She has also gained recognition by the Advertising Association of Trinidad and Tobago (AATT) and the Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles (SILA).
